Wine Description

Every once in a while we have the good fortune of discovering a library wine that is available and a classic example of why you should try aged Riesling. Flavors of dried orange, lemon and apple peel, a dark complexion with still bright youthful acidity. Additional notes of walnut and raisin and a soft release of vanillin on the back palate.

This wine recently trumped every bottle we featured in a complete lineup of Barth wines (bubbly, Grand Cru / Charta and dessert wines). Quantity is limited.

Cuisine: Any type of game with a hearty sauce or other rich and opulent cuisine. Perfect with a classic German chestnut soup and field green salad along with strong cheeses and much more.

The Barth Estate

The Barth estate is located in famous Hattenheim, overlooking the Rhine near some of the areas best sites, including Wisselbrunnen, Schützenhaus and Hassel. The winery is a young and dynamic family-owned company, founded in 1948. Barth Winery Profile
