Wine Description

This Siegerrebe Auslese comes from the southern part of Rheinhessen, which is characterized by loose, chalky clay and gravely soil. Dark gold in color and with a heap of botrytis cinerea, with strong aromas of fresh cut lychee fruit, this wine is bold and has developed great complexity.

Wine is a way of life for the Hinkel family, who has been in the business of cultivating grapes for 300 years. Beginning with the ecological cultivation of the grapes through yield reductions in spring, the thinning of the vines in late summer and the fermenting process in the cellar, quality control is fully in the hands of Roland Hinkel.

Cuisine: Hearty, rich, blue cheeses or bold ethnic cuisine like Thai, Indian and other spicy foods!
