Wine Description

One of only a handful of Charta (Charter) Association wines in the US. This wine displays a floral honey nose with candied orange and lemon on the palate. Wines made according to the strict Charta method are very fruity and racy, extremely well balanced and designed as an ideal food compliment.

Since 1983 Charta wines have reflected long-standing quality standards traditional to Rheingau Riesling. Found only in Rheingau, this is an exclusive wine with amazing character and a flavor profile that separates Charta German Riesling from any other Riesling in the world.

Cuisine: Grilled, broiled or baked fish and also sushi, lobster bisque, salmon, tuna... Pork tenderloin, poultry, veal, game and lamb in a hearty, rich sauce.

Wine Spectator: 90 pts

On the earthy, chalky side, with pear, floral and mineral aromas and flavors. Dry and round on the palate, yet with good underlying acidity. Drink now through 2016. – BS
