  •    Wine Description
A natural Ice Wine is only produced every few years, when vintners are able to harvest a small percentage of grapes at the first frost. Even under the best circumstances, an Ice Wine is harvested in extremely small quantities, if at all.

In 2004 Harald Rauen was able to produce a small quantity of Riesling Ice Wine of a beautiful dark gold color and the taste of tropical fruit, honey and raisin on the finish. A great apricot jam flavor that is a touch sweet and tart as well!

If you like this... then you'll love these!

    Familie Rauen Wine - Mosel

The family-owned estate has been in the hands of Harald Rauen since 1982, when he picked up the production from his father. Unlike many other German wineries, Rauen is focused on selling to retailers instead of the end consumer directly at the vineyard. The estate’s vineyards stretch over 7.5 hectares and produce 70,000 bottles per year. Familie Rauen Winery Profile
