Wine Description

On the steep slopes of Mosel River lie the great Piesporter sites. This particular Spätlese from Piesporter Gärtchen is feinherb (semi-dry) in style. It has a velvety body of peaches and cream and a nose full of crisp green apple, ripe pear and prickly citrus. With ideal acidity and outstanding mineral composition, the semi-dry Blees-Ferber Spätlese is well-balanced and one of our favorites!

Cuisine: Starters, chicken, fresh fish, shellfish, veggies and light, spicy foods, fruit based salads, heavy cheeses or simply for casual drinking.

Wine Spectator: 90 pts

Very minerally in flavor, this is off-dry, yet lean and focused, with nectarine and grapefruit notes backed by a vibrant structure. Good length. Drink now through 2018. – BS

The Blees-Ferber Estate

The Blees-Ferber estate is located on a hill above Leiwen in the Bernkastel area, showcasing a beautiful view of the Mosel and the surrounding vineyards.
