Wine Description

This complex Riesling is a dry wine, made from fully ripe grapes, which were harvested by hand. The low yield and slow fermentation in traditional aged oak barrels create a multitude of aromas. This is the best of what Germany has to offer!

It is a south-facing vineyard, roughly 100m above sea level with optimal sun exposure and good water retention. Select harvest by hand of fully ripe grapes, and slow fermented in traditional aged oak barrels. Quality is controlled through an independent expert review board.

Cuisine: Lobster, crayfish and other shellfish, fish in light crème sauces, and roasted veal, pork, lamb and beef.

Wine Spectator: 89 pts

An elegant version, whose lemon, apple and mineral flavors are subtly displayed against a lively structure. Not a powerhouse, it has a nice lingering finish. Drink now through 2013. – BS
