Wine Description

An outstanding example of what a perfectly balanced Auslese can be. An explosion of papaya, guava and sweet cavaillon melon overwhelms the palate on the first taste, only to slowly yield to an equally impressive finish of peaches, cream and vanilla. It is a beauty to enjoy right now, but has at least 25 years left.

The whites are fermented in modern temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, giving them a fresh and vital quality. Some white wines are also aged for some time in French barrique barrels.

Cuisine: Pairs well with ethnic cuisine (Thai, Indian...) and spicy dishes, also strong blue or hard cheeses and simple desserts!

The Siegrist Winery

The Siegrist Winery grows grapes on 14.5 hectares and produces around 100.000 bottles per year. While the focus is on Riesling, Pinot varietals are also very important to the estate, especially Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc.
