Wine Description

The Siegrist Großes Gewächs (First Growth) has lively, elegant minerality. It is a structured dry Riesling with crystal clear aromas of peach, dried apricot and hints of lemongrass. The Sonnenberg is the oldest vineyard in Leinsweiler, first planted 1,200 years ago.

The Siegrist whites are fermented in modern temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, giving them a fresh and vital quality. Some white wines are also aged for some time in French barrique barrels.

Cuisine: Lobster, crayfish and other shellfish, fish in light crème sauces, and roasted veal, pork, lamb, beef.

The Siegrist Winery

The Siegrist Winery grows grapes on 14.5 hectares and produces around 100.000 bottles per year. While the focus is on Riesling, Pinot varietals are also very important to the estate, especially Pinot Noir and Pinot Blanc.
