Sacro is a deeply concentrated wine made from the noble Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot grapes the also make up the basis of the great wines of Bordeaux. Its purple hue core is hauntingly dark and gives way to a garnet/ruby rim. You'll find complex notes of crushed blueberries, black currant, brandied cherries, and roasted figs, with secondary notes of menthol oil, and dried purple flowers. The French & American barrique oak barrels add additional layers of maple syrup, vanilla extract, smoke, black licorice, and fresh pulled espresso.
The long finish on this wine is bolstered by the fine grained tannins, full body, and glycerol-like texture.
Cuisine: Grilled steak asado, suckling pig with molé sauce, slow roasted lamb with rosemary potatoes.
