This Blanc de Noir is very light in color, lean and passionate, with a medium body and exceptional viscosity. Made from Pinot Noir but pressed without the skins as a white varietal, this wine has a velvety, rich flavor and is very round on the finish. Although a white, it is a racy wine that fully expresses the strength of the Pinot Noir grape with notes of strawberry. It is reminiscent of Champagne without the bubbles!
Pairings: Soft pungent cheeses raw and cooked shellfish, rabbit, curry vegetables
The Gutzler Estate is located in the wine-producing community of Gundheim in the hilly southern part of Rheinhessen. Run today by Gerhard Gutzler and his son Michael, the winery has been in family ownership for generations, originally producing a variety of agricultural products including wine.
When senior vintner Gerhard Gutzler picked up the business from his father in 1985, he dedicated his passion solely to the vineyards and the wine, also adding a small champagne manufacturing facility, where sparkling wine is fermented according to the traditional method developed in the Champagne region of France.

Rheinhessen is known as Germany’s largest wine producing region. Nestled between rolling hills, bordered to the west by the Nahe River and to the northeast by the Rhine, it is a very fertile land. Unlike along the Rhine or the Mosel, many other crops are harvested here in addition to the many vineyards that cover approximately 20% of the area. The better vineyard sites are in a concentrated area along the steep west bank of the Rhine, known as the Rheinterrasse (Rhine terrace), and towards the south near the town of Worms and around the village of Westhofen.
