Situated inside the monastery walls lies the Liebfrauenstift Kirchenstück of Worms; protected from wind and an ideal base of mineral laden soils, this site is one of the best in Rheinhessen. This Großes Gewächs (First Growth) is concentrated on the nose with captivating notes of apricot and minerality. Playful fruit structure redolent with apricot, peach, mango and passion fruit that is characterized by the alluvial soil and silicate subsoil of the site.
Located in the city of Worms, the vineyard surrounds the Liebfrauenstift, an old Capuchin monastery. The site is surrounded by monastery walls, which protect it from wind. Individual grape clusters were selected for harvest. After harvest, the crush was left standing for 24 hrs, the must was then racked. Fermentation was controlled and took place in stainless steel and 600 liter barrels.
