Medium yellow with green reflections. This wine shows notes of white pepper, crushed rock, celery, sliced green bell pepper, fresh asparagus, and green apple skin. Dense and complex on the palate this Obere Steigen is driven by herbaceous and spicy minerality complimented with a touch of under ripe stone fruit.
The 2017 Huber Obere Steigen comes from old vineyards from the village appellation Nussdorf. This site features a sandy loam top soil with limestone layered at the bottom combined with a special Microclimate due to micro-terraces. 25 – 50 year-old vines.
