The Silvio Nardi family has been producing quality Brunellos since taking over the Casale del Bosco estate in 1950. Since 1990, Silvio's daughter, Emilia, has been in charge of vineyard management at the estate.
Silvio Nardi's Brunello di Montalcino is sourced from two high quality estate vineyards - Manachiara and Casale del Bosco. This full- bodied wine sees 12 months in both new and used French oak barrels before then being transferred to large Slavonian oak barrels for additional aging. From the great 2012 vintage, this is a wine with great aging potential that will mature in the next decade or more. This wine boasts deep flavors blackberries, black cherries, and spice.
Pairing: Hearty pork preparations, stewed tomato dishes, and beef short rib.
