Tamber Bey has been making wine in Napa and Sonoma from estate grown and selectively sourced grapes for over a dozen years. The family's equestrian roots show in their labeling and vineyard nomenclature, and their passion for wine and horses mingles on the estate, where there is both a state of the art winery and equestrian facility. The Deux Chevaux Vineyard wines are 100% estate fruit, and this Cabernet in particular is rounded about by a small addition of Merlot and Petite Verdot for balance, structure, and depth.
Dark, ripe cassis, blackberry, and black plum skin coexist with notes of cinnamon, coffee grounds and a touch of charred vanilla in this classically bold, structured cab.
Pairing: Ribeye steak, braised short ribs, roasted rack of lamb, and aged cheddar.
