Sparkling wines are often judged not only by the sites they are from, but by the skill of the winemaker as it comes to blending, and coaxing the carbonation into the wine. The biggest example of this skill is the honed in nature of the most famous sparkling wine region in the world, Champagne. There are other regions that have a long history of making high quality sparkling wines with methods similar to Champagne. This value pack will show you 3 examples of those alongside of a bottle of grower-producer Champagne.
Includes 1 bottle each of the following:

Forest Marie "Cuvee St. Crispin" Champagne - Champagne, France
The grapes for this cuvee are harvested from the Premier (1er) Cru Champagne vineyard of Ecueil, where the patrion saint is Saint Crispin. Picked and vinified plot-by-plot, no detail is overlooked. Although a blend of several vintages, this bottling of the Cuvee St. Crespin is 100% Pinot Noir,so Blanc de Noirs, primarily from the generous 2009 vintage. The vin clair, or clear wine, is vinified in neutral oak, lending a richness and vinuousity to the finished product.
Montfort Cremant de Loire - Loire Valley, France
One of the primary grape of the Loire Valley is Chenin Blanc - in Vouvray, Savennieres, and several other appelations. This bottle is 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, which brings a little more roundness and complexity to the blend. Full of ripe golden fruit and biscuity flavors, this Cremant over-delivers for the price and is one of our favorite bottles of "house bubbles"!
Barth Riesling Sekt Brut - Rheingau, Germany
Barth is one of the most highly regarded sparkling wine makers in Germany. All of their sekt see extended aging on the lees before they are released. They typically see at least 18 months minimum aging before being released. Riesling makes for wonderful sparkling wines because of the citrusy acidity, and intense aromatics. You'll find flavors of white peach, fresh nectarine, orange peel, and spicy pear atop of bread dough, jasmine tea, lilac, slate and flint.
