Forest Marie "Cuvee St. Crispin" Champagne - Champagne, France
The grapes for this cuvee are harvested from the Premier (1er) Cru Champagne vineyard of Ecueil, where the patrion saint is Saint Crispin. Picked and vinified plot-by-plot, no detail is overlooked. Although a blend of several vintages, this bottling of the Cuvee St. Crespin is 100% Pinot Noir,so Blanc de Noirs, primarily from the generous 2009 vintage. The vin clair, or clear wine, is vinified in neutral oak, lending a richness and vinuousity to the finished product.
Montfort Cremant de Loire - Loire Valley, France
One of the primary grape of the Loire Valley is Chenin Blanc - in Vouvray, Savennieres, and several other appelations. This bottle is 80% Chenin Blanc and 20% Chardonnay, which brings a little more roundness and complexity to the blend. Full of ripe golden fruit and biscuity flavors, this Cremant over-delivers for the price and is one of our favorite bottles of "house bubbles"!
